Skate parks have had a long tradition of serving as an urban canvas for public art that inspires our youth and improves our communities. In this Paint the Park project, we're calling on graffiti artists to design a custom mural that that compliments a feature in the park. Designs are encouraged to embrace our community and represent the project theme: "Inclusion, Expression, Progression." Entries must be submitted by March 17, 2019 to be considered. Up to 10 entries will be selected by a panel of judges represented by Lynchburg Parks & Recreation, Scene 3, and Friends of the Lynchburg Rotary Centennial Skate Park. Winning artists will be announced in April 2019 and will have until May 1, 2019 to complete installation. To learn more and to submit a design, visit the LPRD website.
