Calling all green thumbs! The city arborist is in need of assistance keeping our thousands of trees happy and healthy! Join the Tree Stewards today.
The Tree Stewards are a trained community of volunteers committed to promoting healthy urban forests. Urban forests are parks, street trees, gardens, riverwalks, greenways, and wetlands that filter air and water, conserve energy, and control stormwater. 141 million acres of America’s forest are located in our cities and towns, and now more than ever with nearly 81% of Americans residing in urban centers it’s time for YOU to get involved!
Join a group of passionate tree stewards and make a difference! As a member, you can contribute to keeping trees healthy and planting new trees to keep Lynchburg beautiful. Participate in activities such as pruning and planting, advocacy and outreach, or just spread the joy of trees in your own way!
